Being from Texas I was happy to find a proper western wear and outfitter store in the Portland area. Portland Outdoor Store is the real deal…. bought a great Stetson hat and clothing, entire staff was very helpful! I’ll definitely be back!

This store is a Portland landmark. Although many of us are now leery of going downtown, it wasn't all that bad. There's plenty of available parking on the street and a pay lot. It's super easy to find, just a few blocks over the Morrison bridge. Corner of 3rd and Oak. Inside is everything you want for western wear. Or even Levi's, Levi coats- way more than the the Levi store. Of course there is plenty of hats, belts, boots to look at but that is just the beginning. Upstairs is the women's wear. Although more limited, 4 of us easily found beautiful shirts for an upcoming event. The manager Josh was super nice and helpful, I'll be back and I reccomend you check it out. I'd rather spend my money here than a big corporation!

This place is everything a brick and mortar store should be - it's a unique and personal place that perfectly serves its market. They have a great selection of everything they carry, everyone is knowledgeable and happy to help, and the store is just a fun place to be. The store's been in the owners family since 1919, and you can clearly feel that from the care and attention he and the staff give to both the customers and the store itself. The place is a true Portland landmark, and worth visiting if you need a new jacket, boots, or just a cool place to wander.

Iconic western store with everything from boots to hats in a beautiful old building in Downtown Portland. Three stories to explore and a good selection of saddles and tack. Amazing customer service that’s hard to find these days, so glad I finally stopped in.

Incredibly special store, more like a work of art. Over 100 years old, all original exterior, everything they stock is rare & authentic. The staff were genuinely welcoming & friendly. I’m so happy places like this still exist.

I'm from Eastern Oregon and this is the type of store I would expect to find at one of our rural areas. Very well stocked with a great variety of top name brands of top name brands. The staff is also very helpful and friendly, just a great atmosphere all the way around! The store is the gem of Portland

I haven’t had a pair of boots since I was a kid because it’s such a hassle to find ones that a) fit my wide feet, b) are well made but won’t drain my bank account, and c) look good. Stopped in today and was helped by a taller guy with long hair, didn’t catch his name, but he was very helpful and kind. This place has a great selection and if they don’t have something in your size, they can order it. I’ll definitely be back!

Best selection of Pendleton wool that you can find in the the city. Unfortunately they had plywood on their front doors for the junkies trying to bust in during the night. Rome fell because could no longer protected its citizens.
